It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year since we first started gathering together in a house for worship. In just one short year we’ve gone from about 15 in worship to having over 130 on Sunday. We are so proud that we are a church that is truly open to EVERYONE and God is bringing us all different types of people. We are black, white, and all colors in between. We are rich, poor, and everything in between. We are straight, gay, young, old, in recovery, unchurched, dechurched, and everything in between. God is truly blessing us.
While our worship attendance is great, we’re way more proud of all the outreach we’ve done. We’ve packed over 600 meals for the homeless, used our church as an overflow homeless shelter, served dinner several times at The Prodigal House, had a free dental clinic, started three weekly NA meetings, and way more. We have truly become a church that lives out Jesus’ call to help those in need.
On Sunday we celebrated by showing pictures of the “early days”, giving away T-Shirts, eating cake, and having an incredible worship service. Wasn’t the bands bluesy rendition of “Amazing Grace” incredible!
Thanks to everyone who has helped make our 1st year be more incredible than we could have ever dreamed. We can wait to see what God has in store for us in the next year.
Here are some cool pictures of our anniversary:
