The time has finally come! We’re ready for our first worship service ever in our new building. We’ll have an early Christmas service (like a Christmas Eve service) in our new building on Wednesday, December 19th at 7 p.m. We’ll sing Christmas songs, hear a Christmas message, have candlelight communion, and do something incredible. The carpet in our building isn’t going in until December 20th, so at our early Christmas service we’ll pass out permanent markers and give everyone a chance to write prayers (or Scripture) on the floors of our building. So if you have a favorite Scripture verse, bring it and write it down. Or you can write a prayer for our church, yourself, or a loved one. How cool is it that for years we’ll worship and have classes on top of all the prayers that we write! This is a great chance for you to leave a mark on our new building and help us create something wonderful for years to come.
Please be advised: The building is not finished. There is no carpet, the painting isn’t done, and there are other things that will require us to be extra careful being safe. At this time we don’t know if we will have working restrooms. We will not have childcare for this service, but the service will be kid friendly, so feel free to bring them. We think it’s worth it even though the building isn’t finished to go ahead and have our first worship service ever be a Christmas service.
Here’s another cool thing: All the artwork on the walls of the worship area will have been made by our own kids during our work day this Saturday.
So, plan on coming on December 19th at 7 p.m. You’ll be glad you did. If you have any questions, please let us know.
