Are you at a place in life where you are looking for a deeper, more meaningful spiritual life? Are you tired of running the rat race and always searching for more, newer, better and faster? If so, our January book study is for you.
On Wednesday nights this January (starting January 11 and going the next 4 Wednesdays) at 7 p.m., we will study Richard Rohr’s book, Falling Upward. This books helps us understand what spirituality looks like in the second half of life. It’s a book that helps us understand how the things we’ve been through (falling down) actually help us move forward (falling upward). It helps us deal with the things (or voices) that have held us back in the past, and move towards new heights in our relationships with others, and with God.
On a personal note, this is one of the best books I (Pastor Scott) have ever read. When we taught this study 3 years ago, it was one of the most powerful classes we have ever had.
This class isn’t for everyone…you must be willing to read (and it’s not the easiest reading) every week, do a study sheet, and come prepared to discuss. I can promise you if you will do the work, your life will be changed by this class. We will have limited spots for this class (so our first spots will go to people who come to New Story. If we have extra spaces, we’ll open it up to everyone). If you are interested in being in the class, please email Pastor Scott here
