On Sunday (July 6th), we talk about the riptides of life and how we can spend all our energy swimming in the wrong direction. Sometimes it takes doing things a new way to get different results. At the end of the message Pastor Scott left us with some questions to ponder this week for homework. Here they are:
In Luke 5:1-11, we see Peter’s life changed forever because he is willing to trust Jesus’ truth over his own temporary truth. He was willing to try again with Jesus, even though he had his doubts.
1) What do you need to try again with Jesus in your life? Remember the different ways we talked about that can help us experience Jesus in our everyday lives.
2) What have you given up on that you might try again?
3) Where are you swimming against the rip current and wearing yourself out? What would it take for you to stop and then swim sideways.
